… Cleo is on the road again !!!Our first stop is Paynes Prairie State Park. We have been here many times – a huge park with lots of nature !!Our campsiteWe are driving to the north entry to walk the trail up here. And YES you read correctly – we have bison in Florida 🙂Huge warning signs saying you are NOT in a zoo … LOL!We never before saw so many hawks here!… posing for our photos.Mister Limpkin wants to show off …… and is ready for the photo :-).So many birds here !!!And Gators …. … more Gators …… and very close – save your pets and kids !!!Hmmmm … looks pretty dangerous to me !!Around the corner from the park is the cute little town of Micanopy.Cute … with cafe’s, antic shops etc.…The tower next to the visitor center has a great view …… and we can see the bison from here.We are on the way to the next stop – and on the side of the road HUGE solar fields from Florida Power and Light.You are supposed the have a great overview from here – but the security guard did not show up this morning to open the gate 🙁Our next stop is Eastbank Campground – which is in Georgia – but right on the border to Florida. It’s an US Army Corps campground – and the dam is in Florida.Nice Campsite with a lake and dam view.… and perfect sunsets!Also I would call it a bird heaven … sooo many birds around here!We watched these couple brown thrashers building the nest – great team work !!!Family Geese came by every day to show the little once … uuuuh sooo cute... soooooo cute !!!The pretty Eastern BluebirdSo many pretty birds here at the campsite.… and turles 🙂We went to the Hinson Recreation Area – very nice trail here.… along the Chipola River… and we find southern Dewberries here …… make a yummy pancake the next day.At the dam …… they are releasing more water ….So – EVERYBODY (except us) is fishing here …… just grab the fish …… and take it home …Anhinga’s … .. gulls ….… and YES – NOBODY here goes home hungry !!!
